About the Telaga Waja + Blue Lagoon
The most complete day on the site, and the only one that takes you from a mountain river to the sea. You raft the Telaga Waja in the morning — grade III–IV, three hours, finishing over the dam wall — then drive down out of the hills to Padang Bai and get into flat, clear, warm water at Blue Lagoon.
The contrast is the point. Telaga Waja is loud, cold and physical; Blue Lagoon is calm, shallow and slow. Doing the river first and the reef second means the hard work is behind you and the afternoon is a recovery, which is a much better-shaped day than the reverse.
Geography makes it work. Both are in Karangasem — the Telaga Waja put-in and Padang Bai are around 45 minutes apart — so unlike the cross-island combos this one does not spend half the day in a car. At five hours it is the longest package here, and at IDR 800,000 the most expensive, covering both activities, all equipment, the driver, the transfer and lunch.
The minimum age is 12, set by the river. Families with younger children can pair Blue Lagoon snorkeling with the Ayung River instead.
