- 10:00Arrival and briefing
Check in, sign the rider form, and get both riders fitted with helmet, boots, gloves and body protector. The briefing covers how a tandem machine behaves differently — it is heavier and it corners wider.
- 20:15Practice lap
A slow lap on flat ground with both of you aboard, so the driver can feel the extra weight before the track starts and the passenger learns where to hold on.
- 30:25Rice fields and village track
Out along the bunds between working rice fields and onto a shaded village lane. The pace here is gentle, which is the point — the passenger gets the best view of the terraces on this stretch.
- 40:50Jungle, river crossing and the mud puddle
Into the valley for the bamboo section and the shallow river crossing, then the mud puddle. This is the usual place to swap driver and passenger, and the guide stops for photos.
- 51:20Return and clean up
Back to base along the ridge, then showers, soap and a change area. Both riders will need the change of clothes, not just the one who was driving.
