ATV Tours with Hotel Pick-up from Seminyak, Canggu and Kuta: Drive Times, Costs and the Best Tracks

Most visitors to Bali stay on the south-west coast and most ATV tracks are around Ubud, an hour or more away. Every operator we list solves this with a "With Round-Trip Transfers" package: a driver collects you at your hotel, waits while you ride and eat, and brings you back. This guide explains how it works from Seminyak, Canggu and Kuta, what it costs, and which tracks make the most sense from each area.

How hotel pick-up works

1. Book a package labelled With Round-Trip Transfers and enter your hotel or villa name and address at checkout.
2. The operator's driver arrives 45–90 minutes before your time slot depending on distance. For a 10:00 slot from Seminyak expect an 08:15–08:30 pick-up.
3. The car is a private air-conditioned vehicle for your booking only, not a shared shuttle.
4. Free pick-up covers the Ubud area (for the seven Ubud tracks) or the Uluwatu area (for Bukit Sari). Outside those zones the driver charges a flat fee per car, paid in cash on the day.
5. After the ride and lunch the driver takes you back; most are happy to stop at the Tegallalang rice terraces or a coffee plantation on the way if you ask.

The surcharge, in plain numbers

• Seminyak, Canggu, Kuta or Sanur to any Ubud track: Rp 350,000 per car (about US$ 22)
• Seminyak, Canggu, Kuta or Sanur to Bukit Sari in Uluwatu: Rp 350,000 per car
• Jimbaran, Nusa Dua or Uluwatu to any Ubud track: Rp 450,000 per car
• Jimbaran or Nusa Dua to Bukit Sari: Rp 250,000 per car

Per car means per booking: two people pay Rp 175,000 each, four people Rp 87,500 each. Compare that with two Grab or Gojek cars for a round trip of 60–90 km, and the surcharge is competitive even for a couple, with the bonus of a driver who knows the track's dirt road and waits for you.

From Seminyak

Drive times: Singapadu tracks (Green Bali, Beji River, Wahana Bali Adventure) about 1 hour; Bongkasa and Sedang (Pertiwi Adventure, All New Bali Adventures) about 1 hour; Payangan and Taro (Kuber, Alasan) 1 hour 20 minutes to 1.5 hours; Bukit Sari 1 hour via the toll road.

Best picks: Kuber ATV if you want the best ride and accept the longest drive; Green Bali for the cave and waterfall with a shorter transfer.

Example cost: couple, tandem at Green Bali with transfers Rp 1,000,000 + Rp 350,000 surcharge = Rp 1,350,000 (about US$ 84) all in.

Timing: book 10:00 or 11:00; the 07:30–09:30 rush through Kerobokan and Denpasar adds 20 minutes to earlier pick-ups. See the Seminyak page.

From Canggu

Drive times: Bongkasa and Sedang about 55 minutes to 1 hour via the Mengwi back roads, the closest tracks to Canggu; Singapadu about 1 hour 10 minutes; Payangan and Taro about 1.5 hours; Bukit Sari 1 hour 15 minutes.

Best picks: Pertiwi Adventure and All New Bali Adventures for the shortest drive; both take tandem passengers from age 5, useful for Canggu's family villas.

Example cost: family of four, one tandem plus two singles at Pertiwi with transfers Rp 1,150,000 + Rp 800,000 + Rp 800,000 = Rp 2,750,000, plus Rp 350,000 for the car, about US$ 194 for four including lunch.

Timing: Canggu's own traffic on Jalan Batu Bolong and the shortcut is worst 08:00–09:00; a 10:00 slot with an 08:45 pick-up works. See the Canggu page.

From Kuta, Legian and Tuban

Drive times: Bukit Sari 40–50 minutes via Jimbaran; Singapadu 50 minutes to 1 hour via the Ida Bagus Mantra bypass; Bongkasa and Sedang about 1 hour; Payangan and Taro 1 hour 20 minutes to 1.5 hours.

Best picks: Kuta is the only base where both Bukit Sari in Uluwatu and the Ubud tracks are under an hour. Choose Bukit Sari for a half-day with the least time in the car, or Beji River for the cheapest Ubud-area ride (single with transfers Rp 675,000).

Example cost: two singles at Bukit Sari with transfers Rp 850,000 × 2 + Rp 350,000 = Rp 2,050,000 (about US$ 128).

Meet at venue vs transfers: when to skip the car

If you have already hired a car and driver for the day, or you are comfortable on a scooter, "Meet at venue" packages save Rp 250,000–350,000 per person and let you combine the ride with other stops. From Seminyak or Canggu a day driver typically costs Rp 600,000–800,000 for 10 hours, which for a group of four beats the transfer package. For a couple without transport, the transfer package is simpler and usually cheaper.

What the driver needs from you

• The exact hotel or villa name and a Google Maps pin if it is down a gang (lane). Add it in the pick-up field or special requests at checkout.
• A WhatsApp number that works in Bali; the driver or operator will message the night before with the pick-up time.
• Cash in rupiah for the surcharge.
• Patience if traffic is bad: the operator holds your slot when their own driver is late.

A note on day-of-arrival rides

Bookings close 2 hours before each slot and the drive is at least an hour, so book a ride for your arrival day only if your flight lands before 11:00 for an afternoon slot. Otherwise make it day two: the earlier you ride, the more days you have to enjoy the photos.
