Three names come up in almost every "which ATV in Ubud?" conversation: Kuber ATV in Payangan, Alasan ATV in Taro and Green Bali ATV in Singapadu. They are three of the most popular tracks on the island and, between them, cover every style of ride. We have ridden all three several times. Here is the honest comparison.

Terrain and the ride itself
Kuber has the most complete course. You drop from the venue into a jungle ravine on a long clay descent, work through a series of mud pools that get deeper as you go, enter the rock cave (lit red and orange, long enough to feel like a proper tunnel), then climb back out through plantation with views over the valley. The ride runs 1.5–2 hours and never feels padded. Guides are experienced with nervous riders and with large groups.
Alasan is about gradient and grunt. Taro sits higher than the other two, and the track uses that: steep, rutted climbs, a couple of fast plantation straights, shallow river streams and a lookout over the valley and a waterfall. On a 250cc you will feel the bike working on the climbs; on the 450cc it is a different, more muscular ride. This is the one to choose if you have ridden before and want more.
Green Bali is the most cinematic. The gorilla cave (a carved face over the tunnel entrance) and the waterfall you drive straight underneath are the two photos everyone leaves with, and the mud pits and river crossings between them are fun rather than scary. The loop is a touch shorter and gentler than Kuber's, which suits first-timers and older teenagers.
Verdict: Kuber for the best all-round ride, Alasan for power and gradient, Green Bali for photos and beginners.
Location and getting there
Green Bali is the easiest to reach from the south: 20–25 minutes from Ubud, about 40 minutes from Sanur, an hour from Seminyak and Kuta. Kuber is 25 minutes from Ubud in the opposite direction and about 1.5 hours from the coast. Alasan is furthest north, 35 minutes from Ubud past the Tegallalang terraces and closer to 1.5 hours from Seminyak.
All three include free transfers from the Ubud area on their transfer packages. From Seminyak, Canggu, Kuta or Sanur the driver charges Rp 350,000 per car; from Jimbaran, Nusa Dua or Uluwatu Rp 450,000 per car. Note that Kuber's and Alasan's single-rider transfer packages require at least two riders per booking.
Verdict: Green Bali for anyone staying in Sanur, Denpasar or the south; Kuber or Alasan if you are based in Ubud or happy with a longer drive.
Venue and facilities
Kuber's base is the most polished: a large open pavilion with a restaurant, a big changing block with plenty of hot showers and a photo counter. Alasan's venue is simpler but has everything you need, and the lunch view over Taro's fields is the best of the three. Green Bali has a compact, well-run base with good showers and a covered dining area. All three include lockers, towels, bottled water and a local lunch.
Verdict: Kuber, narrowly.
Prices and value
Green Bali is the cheapest of the three at every level, and its tandem price of Rp 600,000 for two (about US$ 38) is one of the best deals in Bali. Kuber and Alasan both charge Rp 600,000 for a single 250cc at the venue; Alasan's tandem is Rp 50,000 cheaper than Kuber's, and its 450cc packages are the priciest rides in Ubud at Rp 850,000 single. With transfers, Green Bali again wins on price.
Verdict: Green Bali for value; Kuber and Alasan justify their premium with longer, harder courses.
Ages and families
Green Bali's rule is the strictest: single drivers must be 16 and children ride tandem from 7 to 15. Kuber lets 12-year-olds drive and takes passengers from 6. Alasan lets 12-year-olds drive; younger children ride tandem. For a family with a 13-year-old who wants to drive, Kuber or Alasan; for a family with a 7-year-old who will sit behind a parent, any of the three.

Time slots
Kuber's 08:30 start is the earliest in Bali and the best slot in the dry season. Alasan and Green Bali run every hour from 09:00 to 16:00, which gives more flexibility for combining with other plans.

All three are flexible: Green Bali refunds 100% with 24 hours' notice, Kuber 99% and Alasan 96% (the deductions cover payment fees). None refunds inside 24 hours or after the voucher is used.
